A rock’n’roll band formed originally in the late 1950s in Bradford West Yorkshire and up to recently played live gigs to enthusiastic audiences mainly in and around the Bradford area.
We tried to recreate the original rock’n’roll sounds heard in Bradford’s dance halls and clubs in the early sixties. Influenced mainly by the American music scene at that time, our play list regularly included songs from Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran and Elvis Presley plus the best of the British sounds.
The Bradford Dakotas played solely for charitable causes. We did not charge a fee or take any expenses. Since reforming in 1994 we helped to raise more than £40,000 for a variety of worthwhile causes.
